2015 Festival of Wreaths at the Polk County History Center

Bartow, Fla. (Sept. 30, 2015) – The Polk County History Center seeks organizations, individuals and businesses to decorate wreaths for the 2015 Festival of Wreaths at the Polk County History Center.

The History Center is proud to host the Festival of Wreaths for the fifth consecutive year. Beginning Oct. 6, the History Center will have 24-inch evergreen wreaths available for pick up during operating hours, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Decorated wreaths should be returned on or before Nov. 7. Participants may choose to decorate either one or two wreaths, as some bidders look for a pair of matching wreaths for double door entrances. Historically, the most traditionally decorated wreaths fetch the highest bids.

The wreaths will be displayed in the History Center from Nov. 20 through Dec. 12. The opening night of the festival will feature extended hours and photos with Santa and Mrs. Clause. The wreaths will be sold via silent auction, with all proceeds benefitting the History Center.

This event promises to be fun and festive for both decorators and bidders alike. Wreaths with exceptional decorating themes will be recognized with the Santa’s Choice designation during the display period. If you or your organization would like to participate, or to obtain more information about this event, call the History Center office at (863) 534-4386 to reserve your wreath(s).
