Month: January 2016

Fort Meade Florida – The Fly wheelers Antique Engine Club, a nonprofit organization, has been around since 1972. After deciding to open up the current 242 acre facility in 1998, the start of this event will mark the start of the 29th Annual Antique Engine Show. The club focuses on restoring, preserving, and exhibiting antique internal combustible engines, steam engines, antique tractors, and autos.
President Kevin Savage said the current FFA members with valid id as well as shirt of jacket showing the club location will be admitted to the show free of charge. He said that the reason for this allowance is so that “future generations can be taught about the hobby”. He went on to state “If we don’t teach it to them then who will”?
This event will open each day at 7am and will run January 13th – January 16th and will feature tractor pulls, the wall of death motorcycle velodrome, as well as the countless acres of swap meet participants which are looking to unload anything from bicycles to engine parts, and anything in between.
For more information on this event or any upcoming events, Florida Flywheelers can been contacted either on the website at  HYPERLINK “” or by phone at 863-286-9121.
