Local Business Destroyed in Fire

Ft. Meade Fl – The help of Fort Meade a local business in Fort Meade caught fire during the overnight hours last night. The fire broke out around approximately 12:30am. The building looks to be a total loss on thrift store side of the business.

The thrift store offers clothing and home items to those less fortunate in the fort meade area at prices they can afford.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

  1. How come it took 45 min for someone to be found from the fire department? Guy on bike called the number for fire department and went all over looking for help? Who is being paid and why was that building let burn to ground with fire department 1 block away from help? Polk county needs to take over that fire station..
